Electric bike is a bike for everyone, regardless of age. E-bike helps with longer distance and hills, does not replace leg muscles, only supports it. Electric bicycles are available in three versions: mountain, trekking, urban - every cyclist will find a model suitable for their needs.
Electric bicycle weighs about 24 kg. The higher weight (compared to conventional bikes) is due to the weight of the components mounted: the engine, the powertrain and the battery. The battery with the motor weighs about 5-7 kg. The higher weight of the bike is not noticeable when riding.
Yes, riding on E-bike requires muscle work. The engine assist only works when we pedal. Exercise is combined with E-bike assistance, but the effort is smaller than with a regular bike. Electric bikes have different operating modes, you can determine which level of support is optimal.
When riding with engine power, you can reach the speed to 25 km/h. When this speed is exceeded, the bike is not powered by the engine, it acts like a regular bike.
The higher price of electric bicycles results from the technological solutions employed. The engine, the battery, the transmission and the display unit make the E-bike more expensive.
Batteries for electric bikes can be charged using a regular electrical outlet. There is also the possibility to recharge the bike using special battery charging stations (found primarely in Austria, Switzerland or Germany). Always charge the battery with a dedicated charger!
The time taken to fully charge the battery is 4 hours. In two hours you can recharge the battery to 80%.
If the bike is not used for a long period of time, the battery needs to be recharged from time to time. The battery should not be completely discharged!
One full charge of the battery costs about 0.13 EUR. Full charge allows you to travel 120 km. The cost of riding 10km on electric bike is about 1 Eurocent!
The standard battery retains its lifespan of 700-800 charge. After this time the battery is still working, but over time it will not be able to recharge it 100% of its original capacity. Over time the battery needs to be replaced.
Yes, there are no contraindications for using an electric bike in rain or snow. The bike is absolutely safe in all weather conditions.
Under no circumstances should the user repair the bike's electric drive system. We recommend that the user visits the Kross authorized service repair network.
An electric bike needs to be maintained in the same way as a regular bike. Due to the fact that by riding an electric bike entails traveling longer distances at higher speeds, the drive system should be cleaned from dirt and mud, which would otherwise slow down the bike. Poorly inflated tires will also cause more battery consumption.
